Ice Castles; Lincoln, NH

Hey all!
I know I haven’t made a post since last Wednesday but not much has happened since then.

I wanted to share my experience at the Ice Castles in Lincoln, N.H. It’s about a two hour drive from where I live, so that’s kind of a bummer but we made the best of it. Adam and I went today, Saturday Jan 15th.

Here in N.H. the weather feels like -10 degrees haha not really but it’s COOOOOOLD! Adam and I wore two pairs of pants, two pairs of socks, a shirt, sweatshirt, our jackets, gloves and hats. Thankfully we wore all that baggage because it was freezing when we got there. I had boots on and my toes were still frozen when we left.

So, we choose to go around 4 p.m. because we wanted to see what it looks like during the day as well as at night time. Since it starts getting dark at like 5 p.m. it was perfect! I was able to capture exactly what I was looking for! I took a few pictures, not many but they all came out great! I also tried to vlog it, so be on the look out for that video on my Youtube channel!!  Wednesday’s are the days that I upload vlogs! Just in case the pictures aren’t convincing enough to go see the ice castles, I hope that the video will!

The ice castles are man made which must take so much time and patience to do it! They made a slide for the kids – not going to lie.. I wanted to go through but I didn’t – there was also an “older” kids slide which looked cool, but of course the line was way too long. I didn’t feel like freezing even more to go through the slide; although, it would have been awesome footage for the vlog. There were also little tunnels that you could go through!

The only downfall was that there were SOOOO many people there, it was hard to be able to capture the photos I wanted. I felt like I was just getting in the way of people and trying so hard not to get people in my shots, because let’s be real nobody wants a stranger taking photos of them – including Adam! If I was to go again, I would go on a week day (if it’s open during the week).

It was a great experience and I am glad that I was finally able to go! 🙂

This photo was taken with my Samsung Galaxy S7. ^^

I hope that everyone has a great day and if you’re near Lincoln, N.H. I highly suggest checking out the Ice Castles!! It’s like the movie Frozen in real life, except we need an Elsa!
